A family history

1950-1960

At the end of the nineteen-fifties, our grandfather Roger Picard, who was mayor of Berru at the time, planted vines on parcels of land that had just been granted the Champagne appellation label (Appellation d'Origine Controlée).

At the beginning of the nineteen-sixties, Jacques Picard, our father created his own business and produced the very first bottles of champagne under his name.

Champagne Jacques Picard was born.

1970-1980

Jacques Picard made many investments throughout the years in order to sustain the champagne house and master its production quality.

The vineyard developed, the cellars were enlarged and the building was extended.

The Jacques Picard champagne house then carried out the different stages of champagne manufacturing, from planting to selling, at the champagne house.

1990-2024

Sylvie and Corinne, Jacques Picard's two daughters, accompanied by their husbands, took over the business in the 1990s.

Together, the family has continued to develop and modernize the business, respecting its traditions, philosophy and high-quality production which characterizes the brand Jacques Picard.

As owners and winegrowers, the whole production process takes place on our land, with grapes exclusively from our own vineyards.
